I rescued a kitty!
Now what?
If you have recently rescued a kitten or cat and thinking what do I do now?
You have a list of options:

A great way to find a foster is via social media.
Though facebook, craigslist, nextdoor app, twitter.
If you are going to find a foster through social media, make sure they sound like a good person that can foster.
Ask for photos, ask about their past history of taking care of kittens/cats.
Not everyone has a good intention of taking care of a defenseless animal.

Finding a rescue agency is awesome but sometimes
it doesn't always work out.
Why?
When its kitten season, depending on which state you live in. Its going to explode kittens everywhere,
I am not joking with this.
During the spring kittens show up everywhere from feral to outdoor cats that were never spayed from owners that never thought about spaying/neutering or never cared to.
The average litter is 6.
Every two months a cat can get pregnant as you can imagine they can multiply many within a year.
A kitten can have a litter of kittens themselves when they turn 6 months old!
And then their kittens have kittens. Which is what I mean when they explode by population.
This runs from February through October.
If you are LUCKY enough to have an agency say yes we can take your stray kitten or cat.
Make sure its a no kill shelter.
Why do I say this?
Because this is the unfortunate part in this I hear stories that I would never want to hear in a lifetime. There are times where even newborn kittens get euthanized; because a mother cat refuses to feed her kittens and then when there are no fosters that can bottle feed these young ones that need their momma, that has the special properties in their milk to protect them from unknown illnesses.
Their little paws don't get to see another day.
it doesn't always work out.

Fostering:
Depending on the age of the kitten/cat and
how they are health wise they might need a lot of work.
Check out the foster tab on the menu to find out more.
Because there is a lot of information to go through on this topic.
It's in the information section.
